Thomas Mager has been managing director since January. For several years now, he has been taking care of the operation's scheduling, which he says is the biggest organizational problem. Tipp-Ex was his daily companion: "We had a large wall calendar - DIN A0. I had to write down every construction site there with a ballpoint pen. Every day there were things I had to reschedule. All I really did was use Tip-Ex and correct everything in the calendar. At some point, no one could keep track of it all." He has been using the Meisterwerk app for two years. He says it gives him a clear overview of everything and even saves him 4-6 hours of working time per week. Since January, he has been transferring all operational processes to the app bit by bit. It takes time, but it's worth it: "There's a lot of potential that needs to be exploited," says Mager.
Document traceably
The app also provides him with added value for documentation and communication. Mager finds it particularly practical that all information and images are clearly stored with the respective order. This means that even when he's in the office, for example when preparing a quote, he can use his photos to understand the situation on site. He can use the images to explain to his team what needs to be taken into account. And if he's not in the office in the morning, his guys are still informed because he has documented everything important in the app.
Thomas Mager is also primarily concerned with archiving the data. His father still has boxes of files in the garage," says the managing director with a smile. He prefers to keep things digital: the app gives him quick access to all the data, even in the event of queries from customers. Archiving doesn't take up any space in the garage, and a backup is made once a week so that the data is secure.
