Who knew? More than 100 years ago, the SIGNAL IDUNA insurance company was founded by Tradesmen as a self-help organization. That was a while ago now, but the proximity to the construction and finishing industry still exists today - on the one hand through the range of insurance products specially geared to the skilled trades, and on the other hand also through the "Skilled Trades are the Future" initiative.
Between the tried and true and digital products
Nadine Dembski has been involved from the beginning and explains the goals of the initiative: "We want to get to know the Tradesmen and craftswomen more closely again and understand what drives them. What pain points are there in the skilled trades? How can we help? That's why the Crafts are the Future initiative was founded in COLLABORATION with associations." In this way, SIGNAL IDUNA wants to provide Tradesmen and women with suitable digital products and solutions in addition to insurance-related topics. In doing so, the initiative relies on tried-and-tested products as well as trends in the construction and finishing industry and thus gets to know the Meisterwerk founders.
Why with the Meisterwerk App?
Bertram Wildenauer is pleased about the exchange: "Like us, SIGNAL IDUNA has recognized that a major pain point is paperwork in trade businesses. Lack of communication and misunderstandings lead to difficulties in handling Jobs." For "Handwerk ist Zukunft," the Meisterwerk app solves exactly this problem. The initiative is therefore tying up the Meisterwerk App as a permanent partner on the subject of digital solutions.
From insurer to solution provider
Nadine Dembski says: "We work closely with associations in the trades as well as with businesses to develop suitable products and solutions for the construction and finishing sector. In addition to Job organization, however, many other pain points were identified in discussions with business owners: From further difficulties in digitizing the business to occupational disability insurance being significantly too expensive for the industry. That's why we're continuing to work on our insurance products geared specifically to the skilled trades and looking at what else we can do to simplify everyday business life."
