Fritjhof Fabis, operations manager at Prokom ETF GmbH, is a digital pioneer. He observes how the administrative workload in his company is getting out of hand and sets out to find a solution. He finds it with the Meisterwerk app.
Prokom ETF GmbH specializes in underground cable construction. The company is a contractual partner of Stromnetz Berlin and, with its connections, virtually brings electricity from the street into the house. Prokom employs around 25 people and is headed by operations manager Fritjhof Fabis. The Berlin Chamber of Crafts brought him together with Meisterwerk founders Bertram Wildenauer and Nick Sonnenberg. Because Frithjof Fabis was looking for a solution to digitise the work processes in his company. "From 2013 to 2019, the number of employees in the office quadrupled. However, the total workforce, i.e. our installers, has only doubled. On average, at least 30% of the time spent on each job is spent on administrative tasks. Tradesmen should be able to concentrate on their actual task, the craftsmanship." For him, digitization is the solution to this problem, to bring the administrative effort back into proportion. In addition, Frithjof sees manual data transfer not only as a waste of manpower resources, but also as a potential source of errors.
Prokom decides in August 2019, when the DSGVO compliant data transfer is still a big issue, to introduce the Meisterwerk App. At first, Prokom employees worked in parallel with the Meisterwerk app and their old system for 3-4 weeks. Then the company switched completely to Meisterwerk. Since then, Prokom ETF has relied completely on the Handwerker App and has "never been disappointed", everything works flawlessly.
"If I want to look up how many jobs we've entered with Meisterwerk since then, it only takes a few clicks."
Prokom employees enter all contracts into the Meisterwerk app. Large framework contracts are each mapped with a superordinate contract, all smaller individual construction sites are subordinate. Each house connection gets its own contract in the Handwerker App. In this way, Frithjof Fabis not only keeps track of what has already been done. He knows exactly what's coming up in the near future. In addition, all data is available everywhere in real-time and the installers keep their construction diary digitally in the Meisterwerk app. There, they document with photos and describe measurements.
In the past, Tradesmen came to the office every day to pick up their Job folders. Today, the Tradesmen actually only have to go to the company to pick up tooling and materials. The Prokom employees used to do their invoicing and planning in the office, but now they do it in their home office from their own computers. Thanks to the Meisterwerk app, all relevant information is transferred not only from the office to the construction site, but also from the construction site to the office in real-time.
For Fritjhof Fabis it is clear: "The Meisterwerk app saves time and nerves in many places. I recommend it to every craft business - just give it a try."
Fritjhof Fabis, operations manager of the Prokom ETF GmbH is a true digital pioneer. He saw how administrative expenditures in his company mushroomed and started looking for a solution. And found it in the Meisterwerk App.
Prokom ETF GmbH specializes in cable assembly and underground work. The company is a partner of Stromnetz Berlin. Their power connections so to say, bring power from the street into the home. Prokom has around 25 staff members under the management of Fritjhof Fabis. Because Frithjof Fabis was looking for a solution enabling him to digitalize the work processes in his company the Berlin Chamber of Crafts introduced him to Meisterwerk-founders Bertram Wildenauer and Nick Sonnenberg. "Between 2013 and 2019 the number of employees in the office has quadrupled. Although the total number of employees - mainly our technicians - has only doubled. On average at least 30 % additional time is needed for administrative tasks. Lost time for the Tradesmen to concentrate on their actual tasks: Great craftmanship. For Fritjhof digitalization is the solution to this problem if you want to turn administrative expenditures into a healthy balance. In addition Frithjof thinks that manual data transfer is both, a waste of working power resources and - always to be considered - a potential source of error.
Although GDPR-compliant data transfer is still a big issue in August 2019, Prokom decides to go with the Meisterwerk App. To start with Prokom-staff worked with both for 3-4 weeks: the Meisterwerk App and their old system. And then "Bingo" the company fully switched to Meisterwerk Ever since then Prokom ETF fully trusts in the Meisterwerk APP and has "never been disappointed." Everything works great.
"Whenever I want to check how many Jobs we've generated with Meisterwerk since then, it takes just a few clicks to find out."
The Prokom-staff members put all their contracts into the Meisterwerk App. Large master agreements are each mapped with a superordinate contract where all small individual sites are subordinate to each other and every house entry pipe is allocated its own Job in the trade App. Thus Frithjof Fabis not only knows what has been done so far - he also knows exactly what is to be done in the near future. All data, of course, is available as real-time data and all technicians maintain their construction site documents in the Meisterwerk App. They utilize photos and graphics and describe specifications.
It used to be that the technicians came to the office every day to pick-up their job documents. Today, the Tradesmen only have to go to the company to pick-up tools and materials. Invoicing and planning has already been done by the Prokom staff in the office - and today they do this in their home office from their own computer. Thanks to the Meisterwerk App all relevant information is not only transferred from the office to the construction site but also vice versa from the construction site to the office, in real-time!
For Fritjhof Fabis it is clear that "The Meisterwerk App saves time and nerves in many places. I recommend it to every craftman's business, just give it a try".
