Ivan Eric starts his own business as a painter in April, in the middle of the Corona Lockdown. After just a few weeks, he is fully booked and subscribes to our Craftsman App. Here he reveals why.
Ivan officially launched his one-man painting business on April 1, 2020. "Almost like an April Fool's joke," grins the young Swiss. That's because the launch of his business thus fell right in the middle of the Corona pandemic lockdown. Nevertheless, Ivan was so fully booked in a short time that he also had to work on Saturdays. He would never have thought that himself. For him, being self-employed was like playing poker. "I went all in and quit my permanent job as a sales representative," explains the young painter.
On the road to success
Ivan invests a lot of time in a neat appearance and even designs his (by the way very worth seeing) website anerol.ch himself. Then he rents a small magazine and activates his old network. During his apprenticeship as a painter, as a foreman and project manager, Ivan has built up a very good reputation. This now forms the ideal basis for his self-employment. The first Jobs come through friends and family. Customers are satisfied and recommend the young painter to others. That pleases Ivan: "The beaming face of my clients as soon as they see the result, that's the beauty of being a craftsman."
Scheduling with the Meisterwerk App
As a one-man operation, Ivan does everything himself, including the administration. He is often on the road or painting at the customer's when a request for a new job comes in. "I have to be able to look quickly on my cell phone or tablet to see if I've already done something there and when I can schedule the next job. My prospects today want to be served immediately. If you take too long, they may be gone again," explains the young painter. It's not for nothing that around 90% of his business comes from private customers. For him, his ability to react quickly is sometimes the reason for his rapid success.
Time is money
But as a one-man operation, it is also important to make the best use of his time. Not only does Ivan want to give a direct answer to the next client. He also wants to file the photos of his painting work with the Jobs. All of this digitally and in such a way that he can access them on any device, be it a cell phone, tablet or computer. He is therefore very happy with the Meisterwerk app. "You might ask, why does a one-man business need a craftsman app like Meisterwerk? For me, it's exactly three things: to be flexible, to react quickly and to store everything digitally. Everything else eats up time, and time is money," the young craftsman thinks. We can only agree with that!
In April, right in the middle of the Corona Lockdown, Ivan Eric starts uphis own business as a painter. Already after a few weeks he is fully bookedwith his company "ANEROL" and subscribes to our Tradesmen's App. Here he reveals why:
Officially Ivan started his one-man painting company ANEROL on 1 April 2020. "Almost an April fool's joke," the young Swiss smiles. Because the start of his company was right in the middle of the Corona pandemic. Nevertheless, Ivan was so fully booked in a short time that he also had to work on Saturdays. He would never have believed that himself. For him, self-employment was like a poker game. "I went all in and quit my permanent job as a sales representative," explains the young painter.

As a one-man operation Ivan does everything himself, including administrative work. He is often on the road or at the client's house painting when a request for a new job comes in. "I have to be able to quickly check on my cell phone or tablet whether I've worked there before and when I can schedule the next job. Todays prospective customers want to be served immediately. If you take too long, you might lose them," the young painter explains. It's not for nothing that around 90 percent of his business comes from private customers. But as a one-man business, it is also important to make the best possible use of your time. Not only does Ivan have the ambition to give the next client a direct answer. He also wants to file photographs of his painting and decorating work together with the Jobs. All this digitally, of course and in such a way that he can access it on any device, whether it's acell phone, a tablet or a computer. So he is very happy indeed with the Meisterwerk app. One could ask why a one-man operation should need a Tradesmen's app such as Meisterwerk? "For me there are exactly three reasons: being flexible, reacting quickly and storing everything digitally. Everything else eats time and time is money," the young craftsman concludes.
