"We save an hour of work time with the Meisterwerk app - per day!"

Long working days and lots of arrangements - until recently, that was everyday life at Schichtl Elektrotechnik. Read here how the master craftsman company uses the Meisterwerk app to coordinate its many jobs quickly and efficiently.

The 18-strong Schichtl Elektrotechnik business is permanently fully booked and accordingly has to schedule many Jobs at the same time. This has been a major challenge in the past.

A 20-page Word document for Jobs causes a communication jam

Until a few months ago, the master craftsman's company coordinated all Jobs with Word and Outlook. But that led to some problems. "Previously, there was a long Word list of Jobs for scheduling, which was repeatedly expanded and supplemented by different people," explains Andreas Willers, office administrator at Schichtl Elektrotechnik.

Thus, all relevant information was spread over a large list. This often caused confusion among the installers. "This Word list was about 20 pages long, making it extremely bloated and confusing," says Andreas Willers. No wonder, then, that in addition to maintaining the list, many other arrangements were necessary.

Does paperwork also cause chaos in your craft business?

Constant agreements ensure overtime

Since there was only one large Job list, the information about Jobs, deadlines, etc. was very confusing. installers had to spend a long time searching for the current status of an Job within this list. This cost time and caused frustration.

There was no software with which the information could be distributed quickly and clearly to the various installers. The employees could only record the current status of an Job on the computer in the office. When the installer was on the road, he had no way of viewing the current planning. Therefore, a lot of information was exchanged verbally without further ado. "We made an extremely large number of arrangements and telephone calls. Many a time, I had to stay in the office until 8 p.m. because of this," explains Andreas Willers.

Ralf Schichtl discovers the Meisterwerk app during online research

The managing director and master electrician Ralf Schichtl knew that things could not go on like this in the long term. He wanted to spare his team the unnecessary overtime and frustration caused by too many arrangements. Therefore, he looked for a solution to better coordinate the numerous appointments and Jobs.

Ralf Schichtl searched online for software that would allow him to create clear schedules, better coordinate processes and simplify the exchange between the office and the installers. He quickly came across the Meisterwerk app. The software specializes in the clear scheduling of tradesmen and seemed to be the perfect solution to his problem. Without further ado, the master electrician decided to test the app in his company.

With the Meisterwerk App, Schichtl Elektrotechnik now saves one hour of working time per day!

After a short test phase, the app has been in daily use for several months and is a constant companion for office administrator Andreas Willers. "With the Meisterwerk app, we finally have a complete overview of the Jobs and deadlines in the company. The employees are always well informed about the current status of an Job," says the office administrator enthusiastically.

Andreas Willers finds the categorization of the data particularly helpful. "For example, I can quickly find all the associated Jobs under the keyword "customer service". So it only takes a few seconds to call up all the information I need at the moment. This clarity makes my work much easier!" reports Andreas Willers.

Schichtl Elektrotechnik saves an hour of working time per day with the Meisterwerk app.

Many arrangements are now no longer necessary. All information is entered into the Meisterwerk app in real-time. Since the software is cloud-based, all employees can view the data on their laptop or smartphone at any time. No matter whether they are currently in the office or on site with the customer. "This streamlined information flow saves us about an hour of working time per day!" says the office manager enthusiastically!

"Thanks to the clear scheduling in the software, we can now more often go into the well-deserved weekend on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m.!" says Andreas Willers.
